Centre for Visual Computing – University of Bradford
With a strong interdisciplinary focus, research activity at the Centre brings together three areas of expertise – computational, physiological and psychological – in order to make advances in fields as diverse as visual media, biometrics, security and computer gaming. The Centre has a unique dual focus; its research projects change the way we compute visual image data and its commercial projects address real business problems and deliver practical applications for industry partners.

Computer Science Department – University of York 
The University of York has a leading department for Computer Science in the UK and is consistently ranked in the top ten in UK league tables. The Department has a long history of successful collaboration with industry which ranges from ensuring its teaching is relevant to knowledge transfer to organisations and governments worldwide, through consultancy, research or bespoke professional development and training.

Cultural, Communication and Computing Research Institute (C3RI) - Sheffield Hallam University 
The Institute offers consultancy to businesses working in areas including product design and ergonomics, structural packaging design and graphics, packaging engineering, research and testing, IT security and interactive system design and evaluation. The Institute also runs a dedicated IT training organisation, The Training Foundry, which provides a wide range of IT courses that helps employers stay on top of the latest industry developments.

Digital Technologies Hub – University of Leeds
This is one of fourteen Hubs at Leeds delivering Knowledge Transfer (KT) activities using Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF5) funding and one of four led by the Faculty of Engineering. The Hub provides businesses and other external partners with access to expertise in these areas. The Digital Technologies hub encompasses leading research groups working across several disciplines, all of whom are involved in developing hardware and software, either as products.

Northern Technology Institute – Leeds Beckett University
The Institute is a technology training centre, providing cutting edge courses for people who work with technology. The Institute is also host to the Digital Research Centre which provides an "umbrella" for research activities at Leeds Beckett University which address the development and application of digital technology and the social, cultural, economic, and political aspects of digitization. Many of the core activities stem from work in the School of Computing, Creative Technologies and Engineering, but the Centre also includes researchers from other schools within and outside the Faculty of Arts, Environment and Technology who are working on topics related to digital technology. 

SCentRO Sheffield Centre for Robotics –  University of Sheffield
The Centre is a joint venture between the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. It researches new robot technologies through collaboration between engineering,  computer science, through to the cognitive, neurobiological, medical and physical sciences. Areas of expertise include human robot interaction, swarm and co-operative robots, field robotics and autonomous vehicles, biomimetic robots, and research into neural algorithms
