If you’re looking for help with your business, it can be hard to know where to start. With different kinds of support available from many sources, how do you choose between them? A good first step could be to connect with one of the region’s universities.
Whether you want to expand or improve your workforce, attract more customers, sell more products, or learn more about your market – or dozens of other things that could help you grow – you’ll find the expertise and resources you need in a Yorkshire university.
Yorkshire Universities (YU) has been coordinating a project to develop a joint messaging framework and video case studies of higher education (HE) engagement with regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project was developed collaboratively between West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and the universities in West Yorkshire to raise awareness among SMEs of the benefits of working with the HE sector. The project has been funded through the Regional Innovation Fund (RIF). As part of the project, four video case studies have also been produced to demonstrate just some of the diverse ways in which businesses can engage with universities.
These four videos are intended for a business audience, and they focus on the experiences of SME leaders in partnering with universities. They are intended to raise awareness and encourage businesses to engage with the Business Support Service who can help to signpost them to appropriate support available from universities in the region.
